'Resin Quality' PVC Figures from Yamato
ICV2.COM (June 30th, 2008) - Yamato USA is about to unveil its Fantasy Figure Gallery, a lineup of high quality PVC statues based on classic fantasy paintings by Luis Royo, Boris Vallejo, Dorian Clevenger and Julie Bell. The figure line is the result of Yamato's constant quest to increase the quality of PVC figures and to overcome the medium's tendency to shrink, deform and lose detail. Yamato has used its new manufacturing processes along with revolutionary new painting techniques to produce what the company calls "resin-quality PVC figures."
Yamato's Fantasy Figure Gallery features a number of interesting East/West collaborations including Luis Royo's Medusa sculpted by Shungo Yazawa, Dorian Clevenger's Akira fashioned by Plant-jzero Moekichi, and Boris Vallejo's Monica's Axe sculpted by Heavy Gauge's Tobe.
